More Hazzard County, Less Dukes

Now I know that there are going to be a ton and a half of ya’ll who are going to write , call and so on but, I’m Duked out. Not Hazzard tyred, just tired of always one old Dodge, and bumbling deputies.

I have been watching the marathon all day on CMT, the same episodes that TNN, then Spike then CMT ran, from 2004-1/2 to mid 2007. Now they are back. Everyone I have on vcr tape. Plus certain episodes you saw Mr. Ruebothum, and Emery Potter etc. Lets explore the rest of Hazzard County. Like seeing a hot rod club, in Hazzard County(Hazzard Knytes anyone?) . How about, the rest of the town then and even today. Create a complete new environment, a newer Hazzard. Explore of Hazzard. Lets see some episodes that was the intrum between when the Duke Cousins went off to do their own thing until they came back for the new reunion. It was always suggested and even mentioned in the reunion films, how the original Boars Nest burned down, okay, how about an episode showing that and the rebuild at the new place? In otherwords, lets bring it from reruns to new runs. Doesn’t anyone think that if there was new blood breathed into a secondary Dukes or Hazzard franchise, that the studio(Warner Brothers) might catch Hazzard Fever, and bring back new episodes?

Plus why so much General? Lets see Cooter in a hot tow truck. Let’s do an ep of Cooter getting hitched, as he went to Congress duty. See where I’m going. Hey I dig, Bo, Luke, Daisy. I am all for the good old General, but damn it lets go beyond that.

That’s one of many reasons, that the Dukes, even in reruns and syndication, has lost octane viewer levels. I’m not saying they aren’t good, but lets do something new, using some of the old cast still alive, as well as newer people, and lets polish off Hazzard County again and make it shine.

Blend in the Hazzard Knytes(aka-Knytes-of-Anarchy) import HazzardAyre Radio, over WHOGG AM 10/90 , made into a new pop rock, southern rock/kountry FM, and do some Hazzard County Boogie.

Now then too, because of some minor cash flow problems, I don’t have cable. Had to watch the old Eps, at a bar with a few Knytes members. Few showed at the party. Asked why? Why go out in the cold to watch stuff already seen 120 times. Put some new oomph into it and then we go see new.

We will explore this tonight on air here. Oh did you hear, Britt is in place to be my new bean counter and distributor. She’ll be here on air , that is if I can quit pooping. Ate some serious chow earlier that’s going through me like gas through a funnel and eggs through a hen.
