For the Love of Hazzard

For the greater past what now? 30 plus years since Hazzard and I collided, every waking hour nearly has been focused on all things that are magical, mystical and legendary of the Dukes and of Hazzard itself.

From the club’s inception, to the website still in construction to the online Hazzard based radio cast, its all of and for Hazzard.

How many fans do you know, who has spent even personal money buying advertising on local stations that aired in syndication before Viacom and TNN(Spike) and CMT got a hold of it, to make sure those reruns kept running? Few, but I did. Then came the slight noise out of New Jersey that Viacom/MTV had bought the rights to the show. When legend air personality Ralph Emery, needed a sub host, they chose Tom Wopat(Luke Duke), they were just announcing the return of the show to TNN(now Spike). Of course the Knytes and I bought time for the club, in every market that we could to fuel those flames.

Confederate Steele TV(aka:HazzardAyre TV) is a beginning TV Network being bred to keep the Dukes charging over ditches and those dusty roads of Hazzard. While I’d like to see more on TV and we plan on doing just that, but even running the reruns, daily, as much as 6 hours daytime and 3 hours primetime of those reruns, along with video from the studios of HazzardAyre Radio, the goal a 24.7/365 all Hazzard , Radio TV Network. But its not going to be easy. The need for funds has never been greater, and the need for preservation of all things Hazzard has never been more needed.

We have the site for the network pegged in Ogden, already paid for , we have most of the audio gear bought, and the talent for on air is already being cast. We have the satellite booked and paid for. But now we need operational funds right now and that’s where ALL DUKES FANS can help. If everybody raked out $100.00 , only $100.00 or even $50.00 sent to us here in the Knytes we could move this faster. Pay for the website, the onsite engineer, and buy and erect the sat dishes and tower.

There was discussion on the official fan club page of a Dukes feature, on CMT a Farewell to the Dukes, really? Then an attempt by us to get the Dukes on RFDTV, haven’t we been barking and howling about that for two years now or better? The time is now, the need is serious, but make no mistake as long as there is the Knytes of Anarchy, there will be Hazzard County. And yes HazzardAyre.
